HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT Statement.

IPMI is committed to the well being of its employees, subcontractors and others who come into contact and may be affected by our operations. Likewise, we are committed to the protection and improvement of the environment in which we operate.
The management of health, safety and environment is integrated into our Quality Management System. This system, which is implemented in all areas of our operations, in accordance to ISO 9001:2000, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
The establishment of our policies and objectives for quality management, health, safety and environment ensures at Director level, that Policy requirements are effectively translated into ambitious, yet realistic, goals and criteria that we can measure our performance and seek to make improvements from where we stand today.
By applying the principles of continuous improvement we seek to further advance our goals and criteria to achieve sustainable development and incorporate risk management to health, safety and the environment issues. By adopting a life-cycle approach wherever practicable and applying it to the development of our products/services we can minimize negative impact, maximize efficiency and measure added value.
All levels of our line-management structure give equal importance to health, safety and environment objectives as to our other business and operating objectives. Accordingly, we strive to operate our business both responsibly and successfully.
We recruit competent personnel with appropriate qualifications and experience for the work. We establish any training needs and ensure the training program is adequately funded to meet our requirements.
IPMI recognizes the statutory obligations placed on it, in Iran, by the Environmental Protection Laws and the Health and Safety at Work Laws and meet the spirit of ISO 14001 which is expected to be the dominant environmental standard. Where no such statutory requirements or guidelines exist, in the host country of operation, IPMI standards are maintained to the level required by Iranian legislation as is deemed reasonably practical with regard to local conditions.
Responsibility for the implementation of this policy statement rests with line management supported by the commitment and involvement of every employee.
